Super
Sande Born 1973 Super grew up and schooled in Sinyawe in eastern Botswana.
He is married and has 5 children and he has built a home for his family in Gweta.
Before Super came to Jack’s Camp he had worked at an Animal Game farm dealing
with orphaned animals in Francistown. He has also worked with animal count for
Birds and Games. Ralph Bousfield is one of the senior shareholders of Jack
Camp (the heart of the Safari Company Uncharted Africa.) ‘Jack’s’ has a special
place in Ralph’s heart for it is where, long before the safari business was established,
that his father used to ‘hide away’ for peace and quiet in a hammock under the
whispering palm trees on the ancient lake bed. Super worked for some years with
Ralph and, in time, qualified formally as a Botswana guide and started, in 1994,
his present career as a Safari Guide, still with Uncharted Africa. His guiding
skills and experience of tourism has taken him on travels to England and Italy
where he has represented Botswana. Apart from being a very knowledgeable
guide he has also picked up other skills. One cannot be a safari guide in the
remote corners of Botswana without acquiring a range of other skills including,
bricklaying, plumbing, and fixing cars. Today Super is training new guides!
“It has been a long journey,” Super says, ”Everything I do I have to learn how
to do it” He spends his free time at his farm in Gweta where he has goats,
cows and horses and he is an inquisitive farmer who is experimenting with crops
whose seeds are not attractive to birds. This has been very successful. The latest
experiment is planting chilies in his fields to keep the elephants out. Super
is a true believer in lifetime learning.
This episode gives you

In addition to clinical care, she focuses
her medical research on optimizing anti-retroviral treatment for HIV/AIDS patients,
preventing both ART failure and the development of drug resistance, as well as
improving the implementation of public health programs in Botswana.
